What is it?
- Coaching facilitates the unlocking of a person’s potential to maximise their own performance. It helps individuals to learn for themselves rather than purely being taught
- Coaching will help people to be come aware of, and take control of, their own power and potential
- Coaching will help clarify, and then achieve, peoples’ goals and those of the organisation

- Those undertaking new roles and responsibilities
- People who are prepared to be coached and have succeeded in the coaching self-assessment
How do we coach?
- Agree goals and the commitment to the coaching sessions
- Gain agreement of the partnership, expectations, schedules and preparation
- Research into current situation, strengths, weaknesses and self-assessment
- Typically 1 hour coaching sessions, on a weekly basis, face to face or by telephone
- Quarterly review and evaluation of progress.
